SAQA ID:72206: NATIONAL CERTIFICATE: COMPUTER SCIENCE, NQF LEVEL 5: 120 CREDITS

Computer Science is the study of computers and computational systems. Distinct from electrical and computer engineering, computer science specialises with software and software systems; their theory, design, development and application. The AACA computer science online course is designed to provide exposure to computer architecture. Specifically, with a focus on the network and the resolution of problems that may be problematic for networks.

Principal areas of study within computer science include artificial intelligence, computer systems and networks, security, database systems, human computer interaction, vision and graphics, numerical analysis, programming languages, software engineering, bioinformatics and theory of computing; analysing algorithms to solve programs and study the performance of computer hardware and software; designing applications that perform well on handheld devices, that are easy to use, and that uphold security measures. Computer Science aims to produce computer science graduates that are lifetime learners; who will be able to adapt quickly with this constantly transforming field.

The course is designed with the same intensity and quality as our on-campus learning, with the added flexibility of studying from anywhere in the world. Making use of the latest technologies in virtual learning, we are able to deliver to you the experience that makes AACA the best. The lessons are delivered though our App and live online class lectures.

This course is perfect for anyone, young or old, student or employed, passionate about the discipline of Computer Science.
