UNIT STANDARD BASED SHORT COURSE

The AACA Marketing Management online short course will equip the students with skills of managing marketing activities and resources of a company. Curriculum

The short course, is delivered in 6 months. The student is taken through an exciting experience of developing knowledge and skills that are required in all sub-sectors of marketing management. This short course will provide opportunities for students to move up the value chain.

The short course is designed to provide students with the appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes to effectively pursue a career in marketing.

Modules:
• Nature and importance of marketing in the organisation and the application of various principles of marketing concepts to an organisation situation.
• Marketing environment and various variables from the environment that impact on the marketing plans.
• Fundamental understanding of consumer behaviours, factors that influence the buying process both in consumer and industrial buying.
• Concepts of market segmentation, target marketing and positioning and various methods used to accomplish this.
• Various informational needs of marketing management, the sources of marketing information and techniques for measuring market demand.
• Components of the marketing mix (Range: product, price, place and promotion) and a critical understanding of the marketing mix controllables in the marketing process and marketing strategy.
• Necessity for marketing planning in the achievement of organisational objectives and the tasks of management associated with the implementation of marketing plans.
